RSOFLR now an Official Member of the NCLR!
On April 16, 2003, The Royal Society of Fellows Law Review (RSOFLR)
of the Walter H. and Dorothy B. Diamond International Taxation Program
and the Royal Society of Fellows was notified that it was accepted
as an official member of the National Conference of Law Reviews
(NCLR)!
RSOFLR membership in the NCLR is a prestigious accomplishment and
gives our Law Review a national presence along with other Law Reviews
from other ABA law schools.
The NCLR is a voluntary association of all law reviews and law
journals at all law schools in the United States, its provinces
and territories. The NCLR serves as a collective clearinghouse and
sounding board for ideas on law review management, scholarly legal
publication, and professional legal fellowship among law students
and other law-related persons.
One of the NCLR’s most important achievements has been the
adoption of The National Conference of Law Reviews Model Code of
Ethics, written by Michael L. Closen and Robert M. Jarvis, The National
Conference of Law Reviews Model Code of Ethics: Final Text and Comments,
75 MARQ. L. REV. 509 (1992). This project proposes practical rules
for journals to following in publishing a student-edited law review.
The RSOFLR has relied upon the NCLR Mode Code of Ethics for guidance
in formulating its own operational and management policies.
Our Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Thomas A. Gionis, attended the 49th NCLR
2002-2003 Conference in Seattle, Washington, hosted by the Seattle
University Law Review.
